About your new goat:
Normal temperature 101-103.5 degrees
Life span is around 8-15 years. Wethers tend to live the longest.

Doe kids can come into heat as early as 5 to 7 months old.
Buck kids can breed as early as 8 to 12 weeks old.
Nigerian Dwarf Goat does come into heat every 19-23 days for about 4 days. (Full size goats usually only come into heat in the fall.)
Nigerian Dwarf Goat does will carry their babies for about 145 days. (Full size goats are usually around 150 days by comparison.)
Nigerian does are usually done growing around 2 years old.
All goats should have access to fresh clean water and hay at all times.

About the Kids:
- We bottle feed our kids until 8-12 weeks of age. They start on Hay the first week. We add water and some mini pellet at week 3 free choice.
- Kids are given selenium and vitamin E within the first 24 hours of life.
- Kids are disbudded within the first 10 days if they are not naturally polled. (hornless)
- Kids are given CDT vaccine at week 4 and week 8.
- Kids are given a Coccidia preventative at week 3, week 6, week 9. (Toltrazuril)
- Kids are tattooed for registration if applicable at week 6.
- Kids get their scrapie tags at week 6 as well.
- Kids are castrated by banding at week 8 if applicable.
- Kids get their first worming and hoof trimming at week 8.
- Kids are ready to go to their new homes between week 8 and week 12.
- We currently only have one doe (Tulip) that is unregistered. Her kids cannot be registered with ADGA or AGS.
- All other doe kids can be registered with ADGA and AGS. We provide the application for registration for ADGA and AGS.
- Wethers are not registered.
- Buck kids can be registered with ADGA and AGS. Applications will be provided for both with purchase.
